Have you heard of the PICKENS PLAN , a fresh set of ideas on getting America off of foreign oil, from an old oil man. My previous post was also devoted to getting the US independent of foreign energy sources. Pickens offers up two very important components to setting us up to soar to energy independence. Wind power can supply 20% of our electricity needs, with North Dakota having the potential to provide 25% of the country's needs thru wind power! The second component is to switch vehicles to natural gas. We have plenty of it in known reserves with a significant potential from unknown areas. He states this will help us bridge the gap to other renewable resources. I am not a fan of biofuel derived from crops, as I have a problem with a competition between feeding people and fueling our basic needs. I have been watching the developments in solar, fuel cells and magnetics for years and believe they will be the worlds major clean energy suppliers of the future, but until those technologies are viable the PICKENS PLAN is worth serious consideration, to check out the entire plan click on the links.

ENERGY,ENERGY,ENERGY.........!!!!!!!!!!!

Why, Because the lack of a strong initiative on America's part will eventually diminish our standing in the global hierarchy. America, was the world's stepchild, until the industrial age, when capitalism and the American system placed America in the #1 economic slot and then the American bail out of the world in WWII sealed the deal.

Well with the current ultra liberal media, there will never be another "glorious" war, no matter the "greatness" of the cause, because a few months into any endeavor and the press needing to feed itself will put it's country on the plate and pig out. Gorging itself on our countries every missed step, every stumble, every blurb. So with this in mind, how do we fight our enemies and move our country back into the Top Dog slot, without giving the pig faced press the fodder they feed on?

At this time in history that answer is energy!!!! We know the Islamic radicals are majorly funded by oil money, we know that the majority of countries with substantial oil reserves, both developed and undeveloped are in countries, who are not our best pals. (and if you look how are "friends" treat us it becomes even more scary) So, why are we sitting on our thumbs waiting for them to tell us to stand up and bend over? As "Jane Q Public" I don't get it. Redneck Randy down the street thinks oh it's these oil men we've had as President who are lining there pockets, but it is much bigger than that. One more thing about war, particularly the Iraq War, then I'll get off of the soap box and onto my policy platform. During WWII, the world set back and watched as Hitler killed thousands of Jews and others who did not march to his tune. No one gave a damn until his tanks were knocking at their door and then they were crying for help themselves. Yet there are people who believe in this day and age of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons, that Saddam Hussen should have been allowed to continue. Oh there were no weapons of mass destruction, Exxxcuse ME! tell that to the souls and family of the 30,000 Kurds. He repeatedly said he Had them,he was confirmed to have them and he refused to let the WORLD (not the US) confirm that he had gotten rid of them and he made no bones about the fact he was going to continue to work on the technology and he hated US!!!!!! AND one last note we did eventually go in and save the Jews and the Gentiles, why not the Iraqis? Are they not as good as the Jews? Did we need to wait until he was selling lamps made from the heads of his people or did we need to wait until all the press was murdered through some nasty stuff being whipped into their morning lattee's. Note I heard on TV the First Jew was Iraqi!! Ain't that a hoot!!!!

Now to the Energy Platform!! The President and for that matter all elected officials are suppose to be leaders, so my platform's number one initiate to Green the WhiteHouse and all government buildings and vehicles. I am not talking about some Pseudo carbon buying greenness ( we'll call it Gore Green) I am talking about real changes that can be duplicated by all households and businesses across this nation.

Oil companies are being given huge tax breaks and are being given excuses because they spend millions on energy exploration and alternative development. AND where are the fruits of this investment(tax breaks) being made by the American people, the fruit is still not ready to eat, but they are still selling it for a premium price and lining their pockets and not giving a damn about the country, the people or the World. Well they should be accountable. Initiative two oil companies show me where those investment dollars went and how much your efforts have reduced our dependence on fossil fuels, you will be given a tax break the following year based on real reduction not an on going fantasy. I would take this hard line because if a guy can create a hydrogen fuel cell that works in his garage on almost no money( fuellesspower) then what the hell is going on with the billions of dollars being spent by the oil companies ? Get on the pot(toilet thought I better clarify before going green took on a new meaning) and produce or get off so someone else can give it a whiz. And Biodiesel is really not the answer, because farm land needs to be feeding the world not creating shortages and unhealthy competitions. Solar, wind, hydrogen, magnetic's and ?????? are the answers, put the brains and the $$$$ behind those things instead of oil companies who have been given the chance and the $$$$'s for generations and have offered to continue to take, line their pockets, but nothing new, no real fruit.

So to recap:

• Leadership, All Federal buildings and vehicles converted to energy reductions currently available on the market
• Oil company tax breaks based on real reductions and dependence not on fantasy investments
• Tax breaks and investment capital for those entrepreneurs showing real promise with built in time tables and results based giving.
• Investments in inner cities and in states hard hit by current economics to retool factories to produce the new green products, being brought down the new green pipeline.
• Moneys for states, cities and municipalities to convert their buildings and public transportation to sustainable energy programs. Garbage to energy, poop to methane. Real reductions in oil dependence = real government funding.

Just these five points would significantly impact our short term and long term fossil fuel dependence nightmare. And guess what government would not be asking or arm twisting(astronomical pump prices) the American people to give up their style, but would be inspiring the people to follow its' leadership and greening their own homes and vehicles and Style. Initiative 3 Brilliant, but economically disadvantaged people would be given the $$$$'s and tools to invent, reinvent and explore the possibilities that are there. They would not have to conform to a corporate image, because the true inventors seldom do, in order to get funding for innovation.

In the short-term the speculators would be put in front of a firing squad and SHOT!!!!

Initiative 4 A new system for SETTING oil pricing has got to be arrived at, BECAUSE PRICE FIXING IS ILLEGAL!!!! The bull about supply and demand in the oil market is another fantasy. Not long ago on one of the market shows it was discussed that the American consumption was down 1% over a 10 year period and we had more in reserves than we had ever had, but guess what pump prices were a rising like a tsunami, why? someone tripped in the Mid East. Ok lets get to the rocket science. I am Prince Yomama my only income is from Black Gold and I got tons of it, I noticed that every time me and my neighbors (who also got their own black gold) and I have words, spit at each other ect.... MY OIL gets a higher price. Mmmm what am I going to do to make more money??? Spend money improving my product, Spend money trying to improve my image ah Hell no, I'm going to pay my crazies to go kill themselves and others, and watch my money pile up up and up. What a way to make a living......!

Now lets look at what would be the foreign oil mongers nightmare and virtually the end to terrorist funding by them. Al Jareeza's morning news reports, " With the President taking the lead America has reduced it's oil consumption by 30% they predict they will be using only their oil within the next 12 months and Europe and Asia are taking note and reducing their consumption and are going to be buying the new green technology from the USA. The price of the barrel has plummeted to a 20 year low below $50 a barrel." Oil Monger, Prince Yamama jumps from his bed screaming, "Oh Allah, get Osama on the line I am canceling his contract, get the crazies off the payroll, call Tehran, get off the Nukes we need to seriously kiss some American butt!!!!" Ah everything will be ok....we are meeting with the American President you know Allah their press will already have the corrupt infidel bent over, we will then convince him Oil is good, We are Good, We will no longer blow up his people and threaten all the peoples of the world, we will plead just please, please buy mo oil. AND then the gonads will be our once again. Yeh Yeh Yeh!!!!! But unexspectively The American President smiles, yawns and grins and in Her best Southern drawl says," Heh Prince Yomama, all dogs have their day, you had yours and you kept all your Alpo to yourself not sharing one morsel with your siblings, you tried to bite off the hand that fed you, raised you, nurtured you and educated you and I still patted your head and forgave you, but you know when a dog goes totally rabid, you just gotta shoot him! So I am sending you home to your own people!

I would indeed feel sorry for the people of these currently oil rich countries, because their leadership had many, many years of making a ton of money, but they could not, would not share it with their own people. They used it to break all kinds of laws of Allah and to live a corrupt and greedy life. while trashing us for our lifestyle. They could have invested in their people, in their infrastructure and had a means to feed themselves and their people for years to come. There are many petroleum based products and there will most likely always be a need for oil, but the $$$$'s would become a trickle instead of a gusher. There would be no spare change to finance the weapons & the radicals and just those in desperate need willing to give up their life to feed and sustain their families. So let's recap again.

• America is once again not being held hostage by foreign oil
• The economy is booming under the move to new innovative technology and production.
• The inner cities and States who have been wounded and bleeding for decades have been healed through work and innovation. Their spirits instead of being stepped on by a hand out have been allowed to soar through opportunity! And guess what it was not an affirmative action deal, it was a revitalization of an area deal, catching all nationalities and races and spiritual belief.
• Terrorism will have significantly declined throughout the world because the financing has dried up!!!!
• And probably most important of all America's face will have been restored to the world, because we have once again taken the LEADERSHIP position that we were born to. We will once again be in the position to help the world's poor and economically disadvantaged. Why is it SO important that WE carry this role? Because we are of them, we are sending money and help back to our homes, to our mother lands to help our extended family move up in the world, a position that only an immigrant nation could truly understand and I believe this role has been Ordained by God, and it is our duty to fulfill it.
• In closing this Energy platform blog entry, let me say again it's not rocket science and the world will not return to the Garden of Eden, but the USA can be returned to it's rightful place in the world, the land of opportunity for all people, not being held hostage and taking none. And let the press be put on notice a gifted writer can make good news as titillating as scandal.
